• The sailing VOC ship, the Duyfken will be making a 'port of call' on the  27th of November 2001 at Cape Town Harbour from Port Louis, Mauritius. After 14 days, the Duyfen will depart for St Helena on 14 December 2001.  The freemantle-built authentic sailing ship replica will sail from Sydney, Australia to Jakarta, then along the famous 'Spice Route', round the Cape of Good Hope....before saling to the various original VOC ports in the Netherlands.
